The world is changing fast and we think there is a need to recognize the fact that the foundations of healthy societies are laid down in early childhood. What matters for the future is that we honour the importance of our innate curiosity and creativity that will support the development of happy, healthy, connected human beings that cares about themselves.
DEBATE: THE EFFECT OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY ON CHILD DEVELOPMENT.
This gave the children the opportunity to express their feelings on the good, bad and ugly effect of digital technology on childhood development
The project had 500 school children within the ages 7 and 16 years in participation. The participating children showed their talents in creativity with the support of ICCF. The children also had opportunity to learn from other cultural heritage in Nigeria.
Festival of childhood will help improve the life chances of children and young people by developing their confidence in themselves as creative learner, thinkers and problem solvers whilst inspiring higher levels of motivation and engagement in their learning.
Children are natural artist, they sing, play, dance, paint, draw, run, write and read.
Instead of believing that our adult purpose is to instruct children, we should be open enough to learn from them and to be inspired by them and to work alongside them. Their energy, their creativity, their imagination are the beating heart of our culture.
