There are over 200 children we have been privileged to serve last year are part of the millions of reasons why we should all raise awareness on World Cerebral Palsy Day.
Over 17 million people are impacted by this disorder and at least a Million in Nigeria with 40,000 more people being diagnosed every year.
CP is one of the most common Intellectual disabilities affecting the most vulnerable.
Additionally, CP occurs over the span of a child’s entire lifetime with no cure because it is not a disease. The year 2022 was a catalyst for change to help improve the lives of those with cerebral palsy.
Every year on World Cerebral Palsy Day, we call on everyone to unite to celebrate and support persons who have cerebral palsy, embrace diversity, and equity, and work toward making the future more accessible for everyone. We will continue to move through a world that was not intended to be accessible to make it accessible.
The cerebral palsy community is made up of millions of people with innovative ideas.
People with cerebral palsy are capable of adjusting to change, overcoming obstacles, and developing original solutions throughout their entire lives.
On the 6th of October 2022, we join the World to create awareness and sensitization in Oregun-land on “MILLIONS OF REASON” to promote DIVERSITY, EQUITY, and INCLUSION.
