ICCF–Iyaniwura Life Skills Residential Center recently conducted an in-house capacity-building training for its staff on Safeguarding and Protection, in collaboration with Green Springs Social Impact Academy. The training is a vital part of our commitment to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and protective environment for the young adults with intellectual disabilities under our care.
As a service provider supporting individuals who may have increased vulnerability, it is essential that our team is equipped with the right knowledge, skills, and practices to prevent abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other forms of harm.
The training focused on strengthening staff understanding of safeguarding principles, protection responsibilities, identifying risks, appropriate responses, reporting procedures, and promoting dignity, respect, and the rights of every resident.
Through this initiative, ICCF continues to invest in professional development and quality care delivery, ensuring that every young adult in our center is supported in a safe environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.
We appreciate GreenSprings Social Impact Academy for partnering with us to strengthen our safeguarding culture and build the capacity of our team.
